- Drive sustained traffic through the unannounced October measurement window
- Top 50 on leaderboard → considered for 10 finalist spots
- 10 finalists present live at Devcon 8, India (Nov 2)
Judging criteria (equal weight)
Volume
"Total USDC processed through the endpoint during competition. Both total payment volume and real measurable activity."
Use Case Quality
"x402 must be meaningfully integrated into the core payment flow (not bolted on). Clear value in pay-per-request, agentic payments, API monetization, data access, or digital services."
Sustained Potential
"Could the endpoint remain active and generate usage post-competition? Credible path to long-term adoption/viability."
Innovation
"Novel, thoughtful, or technically meaningful use of x402. New payment flows, agentic commerce patterns, infrastructure patterns, or practical implementations that expand x402."
Leaderboard: Real on-chain USDC volume settled through GoPlausible facilitator, measured over unannounced window in October 2026
Administrator reviews for artificial volume, wash transactions, self-payments. Inauthentic activity may be excluded or adjusted.
Submission checklist
- Build and test x402 endpoint on Algorand TestNet
- Deploy to Algorand MainNet with public HTTPS endpoint
- Use GoPlausible facilitator (https://facilitator.goplausible.xyz)
- Enable Bazaar discovery extension
- Add x402-global-challenge tag in resource server config
- Complete at least one real MainNet payment and confirm USDC received (ASA 31566704)
- Ensure endpoint appears in Bazaar and on leaderboard
- Drive real usage through early October (unannounced measurement window)
- Submit project details via submission form (opens Sept 2, sent via email)
Entry types: standard · composite · orchestrator
Required tech: x402 · Algorand MainNet · GoPlausible facilitator · Bazaar discovery
Sent via email to registered entrants after Sept 2
Tracks
Standard
One project, one endpoint, one price. Single paid capability.
Composite
Multiple endpoints sharing the same payTo address. Volume auto-rolls-up on leaderboard.
Orchestrator
Product calls other teams' endpoints. Your incoming payments count for you; outgoing payments count for both you AND the receiving endpoint.

Strategy notes
| Entry type | Composite |
| Our endpoint | Domain verification, domain scoring, LLM pricing — multiple endpoints, same payTo |
| Key insight | Composite entry: multiple independent endpoints sharing one payTo. Leaderboard auto-aggregates volume. More endpoints = more surface area = more traffic. finalbuilds2 is the engine that decides WHAT to deploy. |
| overlap → finalbuilds2 | high — factory deploys endpoints, volume flywheel, leaderboard aggregation |
| overlap → telegraph | medium — both involve paid API endpoints, but different protocol |
